Susumu Yokota
Susumu Yokota, who lives in Tokyo, is a prolific trance and ambient elctronic composer who has released many works under several project names. Yokota's style varies widely and he is strongly influenced by English alternative rock such as Joy Division. Yokota's first release was a full length titled "The Frankfurt-Tokyo Connection" which charted in the Top Ten Techno charts of NME and Groove Magazine. Last year has also seen the release of Yokota's "Ebizen."

DJ Ray
DJ Ray has been involved in the music business since the 70's when he was involved in rock and punk groups in his native New Zealand. Since then he has mixed sound for bands, studied astrology, written hip-hop tunes, and DJ'd and organized parties all over the world. DJ Ray predominantly DJ's in Australasia, a region of the world comprising Australia, the Pacific Islands and Asia. Ray also DJ's at the famous jungle parties in Goa, India.

Yokota and Ray met the firs ttime in 1992 in Tokyo. In 1994, the two worked on their first project togther: the "Sonic Sufi" sessions in Tokyo and the "Sacremental" CD. Now, as Mantaray, Yokota and Ray introduce their first release on Silent Records.
